The Dotted One - 65x180cm Scarf

Clean, graphic, and full of quiet movement, The Dotted One began with spiralling shapes on a blank page. This design was fully hand drawn in black ink using pens with different nib sizes. I started with the spirals, then gradually filled the spaces with dots and bubbles, shaping the black around them so they would feel as though they were flowing through the air.

To me, The Dotted One represents rhythm, movement, and simplicity. Even with a minimal black-and-white palette, there is a lot happening within the design. When I look at it now, I see motion, flow, and a pattern you can get lost in.

What makes this piece especially meaningful to me is its simplicity. Compared with some of my other designs, it feels more minimal, but it is still full of life and detail. It also became an unexpected favourite early on when I accidentally included it twice in a survey to friends and family, and it still came out on top.

Professionally printed on soft polyester chiffon satin, this scarf has a flowing, silk-like feel and works beautifully as understated wearable art. Its black-and-white design makes it easy to style with many different outfits, whether worn casually or as a more polished statement piece.
